JUVÉDERM® is the #1 chosen dermal filler collection in the US* that offers 5 different and long lasting fillers. Each one adds volume and is designed for different needs in different areas of the face including lips, cheeks, or chin depending on your unique needs.

Juvéderm

Juvederm is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Young skin contains an abundance of naturally-occurring HA. As we age, time, sunlight, and other factors reduce the amount of HA in our skin. The lack of HA causes our skin to lose structure and volume, creating unwanted facial wrinkles and folds, like those parentheses lines around your nose and mouth.

When Juvederm is added to those lines, the result is a natural looking softening of the lines that may last up to one year.

  • Safe, FDA approved, filler
  • May soften lines that make us look angry and tired
  • Lasts up to a year

How does Juvederm make the lines disappear?

When Juvederm is injected into your skin, hyaluronic acid (HA) is restored, adding volume to smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. This leads to very natural looking and natural feeling results. “Everyone will notice but no one will know”.

Does the Juvederm treatment hurt?

Juvederm is now formulated with lidocaine, a common anesthetic, to provide a more comfortable experience during and after your treatment. Depending upon what areas you are having treated and how sensitive they might be, we can also offer additional anesthetic options, such as topical lidocaine cream or a dental block. We will make your experience a comfortable one.

How long does Juvederm last?

Juvederm usually lasts about 6-8 months, depending upon where in the face it is injected. However, it can last up to a year in some clients.

Where can Juvederm be placed?

The FDA approved locations for Juvederm include the naso-labial folds (the lines from the outside of your nose to the corners of your mouth) and the lips. It is also commonly used in areas such as the temples, the hollows under the eyes and the frown lines under the mouth.

What should I do to prepare for my Juvederm treatment?

It is important to discontinue the use of ibuprofen (such as Advil or Motrin) for 72 hours before your appointment. Do not take aspirin for one week before your appointment, unless you are taking it for a medical reason. If you are on blood-thinning medications, let us know before your appointment.

What should I do after my Juvederm treatment?

You may return to normal activities immediately after a Juvederm injection. However, you may not apply heavy pressure to the injected area for 4 hours. If you received a dental block, you may not want to plan on eating or drinking much for a few hours until the block wears off. You will be asked to apply ice to the injected area for the first 24 hours after the injection in order to minimize the risk of bruising.
